He has shot fashion jobs for nashville based denim company Imogene + Willie as well as a large amount of personal work with international models from various agencies. His advertising shoots have ranged from bowling balls to Gretsch Guitars; not to mention alternative body jewelry and regional banks.

Publications like Rolling Stone, Newsweek and GQ (as well as GQ Japan) have his phone number and have called on him to deliver honest and emotional portraits of musicians that Joshua calls friends.

Joshua Black Wilkins is as comfortable shooting large format film and he is using the newest digital gear available. He uses metal plate tintypes, polaroids, paper negatives, and roll film on a regular basis to create honest and effective portraits of celebrities, actors, singer-songwriters, burlesque performers, strippers and strangers.
